AUSD's Board of Education is considering placing a bond measure on the June 2022 ballot to fund Phase II upgrades to local schools. Phase II is aimed at first finishing basic repairs to keep schools safe and functioning and then providing state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, and other facilities to prepare students for future success.

Board Briefs: February 8 meeting

At its February 8 meeting, the Board of Education will hear updates on AUSD's response to COVID-19, the Strategic Plan, and the district's homework policy. The Board will also hear presentations on two bond-related topics: the potential tax rate and a draft resolution for ordering an election.

AUSD COVID-19 Testing

AUSD is now offering PCR testing for asymptomatic students and staff six days a week.

AUSD staff headed out to elementary and secondary sites last month to record students and employees talking about their winter holiday traditions. The resulting video - which was masterfully put together by students at Alameda High School - shines a bright light on the diversity, spirit, and joy present in our AUSD community!

Board Briefs: Nov. 9 meeting

At its December 14 meeting, the Board of Education will hear presentations on a potential new facilities bond and will vote on the district's CCEIS plan, First Interim Budget, Board Officers, and Board Committee Assignments. The meeting begins at 6:30 pm; agenda and Zoom link are available here.
