AUSD's Board of Education is considering placing a bond measure on the June 2022 ballot to fund Phase II upgrades to local schools. Phase II is aimed at first finishing basic repairs to keep schools safe and functioning and then providing state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, and other facilities to prepare students for future success.
At its February 8 meeting, the Board of Education will hear updates on AUSD's response to COVID-19, the Strategic Plan, and the district's homework policy. The Board will also hear presentations on two bond-related topics: the potential tax rate and a draft resolution for ordering an election.
AUSD is now offering PCR testing for asymptomatic students and staff six days a week.
