At the end of last school year, students in grades three through eight participated in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). Your child’s individual student score report shows scores for English language arts and mathematics. It includes an overall score for each subject and information about your child’s proficiency in meeting standards in different areas. Students in grades four through eight who took the test in previous years will also see past scores so you can see your child’s progress over time.
Schools use the results to identify specific areas in which to set goals and focus more attention in the next school year , while teachers can use the results to identify and address individual student needs.
The California Department of Education (CDE) has transitioned to a paperless delivery of CAASPP student score reports. The Ross Valley School District has created parent portal accounts through Aeries, our student information system, so that you can access your child’s score reports.
