Kindergarten Registration. All students registering for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1. Parents are asked to bring the child’s original birth certificate, updated immunization records, and proof of residency.
All student registering for Pre-K must be 4 years old by September 1. Parents are asked to bring the child's original birth certificate, updated immunization records, and proof of residency. No student will be permitted to enter school unless those documents are verified at registration.
All students registering for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1. Parents are asked to bring the child’s original birth certificate, updated immunization records, and proof of residency. Transportation of Non-Public Students ACT 372. In accordance with Act 372, Allegheny Valley School District provides transportation for resident students who attend a nonpublic or charter school that is located within the District or within 10 miles of the District boundaries.
In addition, parental requests for daily bus changes will not be honored. In emergency situations, any bus student who must ride a bus to which he/she is not assigned, must have a signed pass from the main office granting permission for the student to be on that bus for that day. Merakey Allegheny Valley School (Merakey AVS) is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to individuals with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD.
