Welcome to Anchor Bay School District! We are a district of approximately 5,500 students that includes 6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 high school, an alternative high school, and a wide variety of early childhood programs. We are proud of the high levels of achievement of our students.
Lights, Camera, Action! Anchor Bay Middle School North offers a Broadcasting class where students learn how to research and report the news. Our 8th grade students produce live newscasts; produce and edit commercials and public service announcements all while working in groups. Click the link the below to see our young reporters in action!
You can access the Parent Portal from the Anchor Bay School’s website: www.anchorbay.misd.net and click on the Quick Links menu on the home page. Open the internet browser on your computer.
Yearly student information updates are done in the Parent Portal. Please update contact information and phone numbers for students. If you need to make an address change, you must take your address proofs to the school and they will approve the address.
We are excited to announce the opportunity for current eighth-grade students to be part of the Anchor Bay Honors Academy!
Remember to check grades on Parent Portal instead of Schoology. Parent Portal is the official place that grades are stored and updated.
Please contact the Middle School South office if your child needs to take medication during the day. Medication forms will be made available or can be found on the enrollment page.
To the Parents or Guardians of Anchor Bay Schools that use alternate locations for either pick up or drop off of your students due to daycare, grandparents or divorce situations, please complete the Alternate Bus form and either email ( pdeville @abs.misd.net), fax (586-725-4223) or mail 51890 Washington, New Balt. 48047 Click here for the form
New 7th Grade Immunization Requirements We would highly recommend getting the immunizations or waivers early in the summer. We have found that many will wait until just before school begins or shortly after and parents have a difficult time getting a timely appointment.

Can't print the packet at home, pick one up at a school office or call to Central Admin at (586) 725-2861 to have an enrollment packet mailed to you along with a return envelope! The Central Admin phone line is monitored daily. Make sure to leave a detailed message and contact information.
Parents/Guardians - if your child has been vaccinated or has had Covid in the last 90 days and you haven't already turned in a copy, please bring a copy to the main office or email to jseamans@abs.misd.net. By having this on file it will exclude your child from being quarantined should the situation arise during contact tracing.
