Arlington CSD residents with children with dates of birth between December 2, 2017 and December 1, 2018 are eligible for the UPK program. Lottery open from February 4 - February 27.
The NYS Education Department is asking parents/guardians to complete a short 9-question Digital Equity survey (for each student in the family) in grades K –12. This survey will provide information on student access to devices and internet access in their homes. The survey is available in the Parent Portal.
Home school students are not entitled to participate in interscholastic sports or to participate in intramural sports and other school-sponsored extracurricular activities.
The District does not loan instructional materials, such as textbooks, library materials and computer software to home schooled students. Letters of intent, Individualized Home Instruction Plans and all other Homeschooling correspondence should be directed to homeschool@acsdny.org. Please note the following: 1 Registration is requested one week prior to the start date of classes (unless specified) but registration will be accepted through the first week of class if space is available. 2 Early registration is encouraged to ensure placement and to avoid possible cancellation due to insufficient enrollment. 3 Confirmations are only sent to those who submit a working email address. 4 You will be notified if there is a change in the class you signed up for. If you are not contacted, simply attend your first class. 5 Those registering online will get an automatic confirmation/receipt. 6 Those who pay by check: your canceled check is your receipt. 7 Refunds will be granted only if class is canceled. 8 High school students are permitted to take any class. 9 Middle school students are permitted to take classes providing they are accompanied by a parent/guardian who is also enrolled in the class. 10 Courses designed for younger students do not require a parent to take the course.
All Arlington residents who are 62 years or older can receive a Golden Admiral Card, which entitles Arlington senior citizens to a 10% discount off all Continuing Education courses (unless otherwise noted).
