Why Arroyo Verde Elementary School?

With my goal of continuing the tradition of excellence here at Arroyo Verde Elementary School, I am committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of all students and to more effectively communicate with parents and community members. Is the inclusive play area at Arroyo Verde Park open?

Although the inclusive play area will remain fenced off until the opening, the parking lot on the north side is now open for use. Finishing touches are underway on the inclusive play area at Arroyo Verde Park. Last week, the colorful play surface was added.

What happened to Arroyo Verde Park?

In 2017, Arroyo Verde Park’s main play structure was destroyed in the Thomas Fire. Rather than rebuild the same structure, the City decided to re-imagine the space and create the first fully inclusive play area in Ventura; a space where children of varying abilities could play together, where grandparents could easily interact with their grandchildren, and where the community could have fun together without barriers.

When will Ventura County open its first play area?

The City of Ventura will begin construction on its first fully inclusive play area for children of all abilities in May 2020. The 10,750 square foot play area features gathering places, a play structure, swings, hammocks, balance beams, a sensory garden, a motion-inclusive carousel, a sensory wall, embankment climbers, music play areas, and more.

What is a patient portal?

The patient portal is available to the patient who creates an account. A family member or a friend cannot make appointments or ask medical questions on behalf of the patient. The patient is responsible for keeping his/her account information secure. A username or password is not allowed to be shared.

Is Arroyo Vista email secure?

No. Regular email is typically not secure. A patient portal is a secure encrypted web portal that allows you to communicate with your Arroyo Vista Care team. Can I ask emergency questions through the Patient Portal? No, the patient portal should not be used for emergency health care issues.
