Each spring, our Counselor will visit classrooms to talk to students about requesting courses for next year.
Arts Academy in the Woods students have the opportunity to participate in learning in and through the arts throughout their academic career. Most artists choose a specific art that they would like to focus their studies, but many will try many different forms of expression.

This year’s yearbook theme is based on AAW’s 20 th year. We are inviting Arts Academy students to submit art to be considered for the cover of the 2019-20 yearbook.
ALL senior pictures are needed by February 1st if they are to be included in this year’s yearbook.
We are planning to begin the school year with face-to-face learning with mitigation strategies in place. The State and Federal guidelines are being updated regularly and we will do everything in our power to follow those recommendations and communicate plans to our community members.
To ensure continued enrollment at the Academy, returning students must complete the Back-to-School information updates at Family Information Gateway. This will allow families to provide addresses, contacts, medical updates, and other essential information.

Door #3 (by the flagpole) will open at 7:00 am. Students arriving early must report to the gym until 8:00 AM. Students should remain on the first floor until 8:15 AM.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 from 8:30 – 3:31 PM. Students should arrive no later than 8:25 a.m. and are to report to the Cafegymatorium for a short assembly.

The ‘Hangout’ is offered to students in grades 7, 8, 9 and 10 until 6:00 pm daily (unless otherwise posted).
Mr. Wotherspoon met with a representative from Herff Jones to discuss diplomas, cap and gown, and graduation announcements.
With remote learning, and the unknown ahead, we have 2 different ways senior dues will work out.
We do have a prom date and venue booked if we are able to return face to face and have an event like this.
Finals for graduating senior s will begin on the Tuesday after Memorial Day.
