Atlantic High School, a member of the Hawkeye 10 Conference in Southwest Iowa, is located seven miles south of I-80, approximately half-way between Council Bluffs and Des Moines, at the junction of US HWY 6 and US HWY 71. Thank you for visiting the Atlantic High School section of the website.
Challenging our students academically is commonplace in every classroom. Atlantic High School offers several Advanced Placement courses in a variety of areas: AP Music Theory, AP Art Studio, AP US History, AP US Government as well as additional courses via online resources.

For absences of less than 3 days, we ask that the student make arrangements directly with their teacher to get any make up work. In order to request make up work due to a lengthy absence of 3 or more days, contact the Guidance Office at 386-322-6100 ext. 38497. Please allow 24 hours for the work to be collected from the teachers.
The SAC is a representative body of teachers, students, parents, support personnel and community members who assist with writing and monitoring the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and decide how school improvement funds will be spent. The SAC helps the school achieve its goals and increase student learning through the School Improvement process.
Ø SAC usually meets on the 2 nd Monday of the month at 5:30pm in the AHS media center. We invite and encourage all stakeholder participation at this important monthly meeting.
