Our Busy Bee Before/After School Care program provides just that for your school-age child. Busy Bee gives children the chance to participate in activities that encourage social, physical, and intellectual growth, while being cared for before and after school. We also provide a Summer Camp with themed activities each week. Our Busy Bee program is licensed by the State of Michigan and follows our District Calendar in terms of open/close dates and hours of operation. Avondale Youth Assistance (AYA) is a non-profit community service organization that is committed to strengthening our community's youth and families, and helping to reduce the incidence of juvenile delinquency, child neglect, and abuse. The AYA mission is achieved through partnerships between the Avondale School District, local municipalities, and the Oakland County Circuit Court-Family Division, who provides caseworkers to offer counseling services to children and families within Avondale.#N#AYA provides a wide range of programs and services to community youth and their families, including mentoring programs, recognition programs to honor positive personal achievements, after-school and summer programs, scholarships, and more. Our preschool and pre-kindergarten programs utilize research grounded in the HighScope Curriculum, which aligns with Michigan’s Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Pre-Kindergarten.
Provide a nurturing environment that focuses on building positive self-esteem
A minimum of 3 days (half OR full) enrollment is required. A $300.00 deposit is due at the time of enrollment. A portion of this deposit will be applied to your 1st month’s tuition and is non-refundable. Families who register after May 1st, will need to provide first month’s tuition upon registration.
Avondale School District has partnered with Great Start Collaborative-Oakland, Oakland Schools, and Early On Oakland to ensure that routine developmental screenings are available to all children under the age of 5.
