Every year the competition gets a little tougher as elementary students from across the district hone their interpersonal skills through the Comal Shake Competition. The winning combination is confidence, a strong handshake and the ability to make small talk.
Students from across the district were recognized by the Comal ISD Board of Trustees for the work, practice and talent each displayed in order to qualify for a state competition in robotics, music, cross country and baseball.
The district's second chess tournament showcased players from all grade levels with surprising results - a new district champion team for the high school category. Now, players are busy working on their game strategies for the district's two remaining tournaments.
During a night full of great jazz performances, four Comal ISD seniors were awarded the district's first music scholarships, totaling $1,200.

Baseball players from the Canyon Lake High School team helped stock their local food pantry by hosting an annual food drive both on and off campus.
