Will Belton schools be open for 2021-2022?

The Belton School District plans to be open for in-person instruction for 2021-2022 as it was during the 2020-2021 school year. The District’s elementary and secondary Return to School Task Force teams, made up of staff and parents, met in May to discuss changes for summer school.

More than $90,000 in grants given to enhance learning opportunities in Belton ISD. Performance earns students recognition as top Hispanic, Indigenous scholars. New plan balances population changes reflected in the 2020 U.S. Census.

Will Belton pirates be in class in 2021-2022?

The Belton School District is looking forward to welcoming back your Pirates in person for the 2021-2022 school year. As a reminder from previous communications, the deadline to submit an application to have your child go through the virtual learning approval process closed on June 1, 2021.

Belton's Battle of the Brains 2021 Finalists

Mill Creek Upper Elementary School and Wilckens STEAM Academy at Hillcrest students in the 5th grade STAR classroom participated in a competition sponsored by Burns and McDonnell, an engineering firm in Kansas City.

Wednesday Results

Girls swim and dive won 9 of 12 events as they swam past Truman, Van Horn, William Chrisman, and Winnetonka to improve their record to 15-2 on the season.

Tuesday Results

JV and varsity boys basketball lost to Blue Valley Northwest last night. Their next game is this Friday against Ray-Pec. It’s a home game and the Pirates hope to see everyone pack the Fieldhouse!

Monday Results

C team boys played at Lee's Summit HS. Both Gold and Silver teams came up just short of winning.

November Playgroup - Cancelled!

We have decided to cancel playgroup on Thursday, November 8th, at Cleveland Lake due to the inclement weather coming into the metro area later in the week. The Success by Six Resource Center will be open for families to checkout items for their children to enjoy at home.

October Playgroup

Shout out to Johnson Farms for a fun filled day at the Pumpkin Patch. Families were able to explore the farm, pet the animals, enjoy the play area and find that perfect pumpkin to take home.

Sleep and the Time Change

Fall Back In the fall, the clock is moved back an hour, so we gain an hour. For adults and teenagers, it often means getting an extra hour of sleep. Adding an hour to the day is easy, and most adults forget there was a time change within a few days.
