The relationship between faculty, students and parents is a cornerstone of the Berkshire experience. The school takes seriously its principle of in loco parentis (“in the place of a parent”) and embodies it in many ways. Communication with parents is frequent, through letters, e-mails and phone calls, and faculty and staff ensure there is always a way they can be reached.
Berkshire School has partnered with GameOn to provide live webstreaming of athletic contests, art events, and more. Webstreams may be joined live, or watched on demand. Please visit www.berkshireschool.org/webstream to see a schedule of events.
By design, every student makes an impact at Berkshire—from the foundation of being known well, our students build confidence, which enables them to strive, take risks, and reimagine their potential in all areas of their development.
Academics at Berkshire are distinguished by a forward-thinking approach through a curriculum designed to be relevant and dynamic, preparing students for an ever-changing global world.
With a broad selection of visual and performing arts courses, including Studio Art, Ceramics, Sculpture and 3D Design, Photography, Digital Art, music, dance, and theater, students can explore new mediums or cultivate an existing talent.
Whether students are competing at the highest level or exploring something new, they spend invaluable time with teammates to experience camaraderie, build new friendships, and create lifelong memories.
Our 10 signature programs, which include Advanced Math/Science Research, Advanced Humanities Research, and Pro Vita, are designed to provide real-world experiences and help distinguish our students in an increasingly competitive college process.
Our college counselors work closely with students to place them in a position of strength to choose the college or university that is the best fit for them.
