How do I get access to the BU student link?

Secure, web-based access is provided with authentication through the standard BU Web login mechanism. Current students can use the Student Link to sponsor login accounts for people who are not affiliated with Boston University, to provide access to specified information. Account setup is fully automated.

When is parent&family orientation at Boston University?

If your student is beginning their BU experience in January 2022, Parent & Family Programs wants to welcome you to Boston University and to the City of Boston! If you have not participated in Parent & Family Orientation yet, please note the following dates Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 8:00 AM (ET) and Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 5:00 PM (ET).

How do I grant access to parents to make payments?

You can also grant access to parents, legal guardian, or other third parties to make payments on your student account. You may log on to the Student Link at www.bu.edu/studentlink, select “Personal,” and click on the “ShareLink Access” link.

Electronic Payment

For your convenience, you can make payment using a U.S. bank account online at Student Link. Select Money Matters, then Student Account Inquiry, and click on the Make a Payment link.

Personal Checks, Money Orders

If you choose to send a personal check or money order using regular mail or by an overnight delivery service, please address the payment to:

529 Plan Distributions

529 Plan distributions are typically made by check. We recommend you contact your 529 Plan for further information.

Credit Card Payment (Part-time Students Only)

If you are a part-time student, you can make payment by MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, Diners Club International, JCB, or China Union Pay online at Student Link. Select Money Matters, then Student Account Inquiry, and click on the Make a Payment link.

International Payment

You can make payment to Boston University from a bank account outside the U.S. using services provided by Flywire or Western Union Business Solutions. These vendors both provide a tailored interface for international payments to BU. Use of either of these services will generally result in a low exchange rate and/or total transaction cost.
