School hours are 9:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The tardy bell rings promptly at 9:15 a.m. Students are expected to be in their classroom when the tardy bell rings

Students may NOT be dropped at school prior to the 8:45 a.m. opening of the building. Staff members are not on duty and students may not be on campus without adult supervision. The only exception is students who report to individual teachers for tutoring. In this situation, students must report directly to the classroom. They will not be allowed to sit in the hallways. Bradley Middle School does offer a Before School care program. Please visit the ASEP section of the main CMS website for information regarding hours and costs

Occasionally students will forget important items and they will need to be dropped off at school. Parents may deliver items to the office at any time throughout the day. Office staff will collect all drop-off materials, record any necessary information on a delivery sheet, and make classroom deliveries at the end of each instructional block

All visitors must check in at the front office to complete the electronic sign-in process. All visitors are required to wear a CMS identification badge or a printed visitor's pass. No person is permitted access to the building without one of these forms of identification. Specific guidelines on classroom visits and details on how to register as a CMS volunteer are included in the Parent Handbook. Please consider being a part of the Bradley family as a tutor or volunteer!

Francis Bradley Middle School has a grading policy aligned with North Carolina statutes and CMS Board Policies. As stated in CMS Board Policy ILB, "the goal of student assessment is to use the results to improve instructional programs for students so that high school graduates have the skills and knowledge necessary to function as productive members of society and to pursue educational and employment opportunities. In addition, assessment results are used to assist teachers in evaluating student progress, planning instruction, and improving instructional delivery." Details of the grading policy, including mastery guidelines, formal and informal assessment grading, and requirements pertaining to late and make-up work are detailed in the Parent Handbook
