Bright Water Waldorf School is located within the Pacific Northwest and is situated upon the traditional lands of the Duwamish people. The historic campus of the Japanese Cultural Community Center of Washington provides a welcoming home for our learning community.

Students move through nine spacious, light-filled classrooms as well as two large dojos, which are used as multi-purpose rooms for Movement, Band, Strings, and Eurythmy. Our two Early Childhood classrooms, each utilize their own kitchen and bathrooms. Classrooms boast large windows that let in natural light and fresh air.

The heart of Bright Water Waldorf’s grade school curriculum is multidisciplinary study, world mythology and practical skill building.

What is the curriculum of grade school?

The grade school curriculum immerses students in image, sound, and movement. Their gradual emergence into academics is often born out of movement-based learning, such as rhythmic activities for math and coordination development. This strengthens imaginative powers at every level.
