How do parents use the parent portal?

Parents whose students are currently enrolled in the Brookings School District will use the Parent Portal to update information, give permissions for the current school year and add a new student.

How are school assignments made in the Brookings School District?

NOTE: Elementary school assignments (K-3) in the Brookings School District are made according to the residence of the parent/guardian or the school assigned though an out of district open enrollment request. All students in grade 4-12 will attend the center for their grade level.

At the top, you will see multiple tabs, select "Enrollment." Scroll down. You need to fill out all of the forms under the top header that says Brookings Harbor District-RS. The RS stands for Returning Students.

Where is the registrar's office in Brookings?

The registrar's office is located at 2130 8th Street S in Brookings. Call 605-696-4724 to make an appointment. Note: Kindergarten students who participate in the screening process do not need an appointment with the Registrar.

How to register for Brookings Harbor School District?

Go to the Brookings-Harbor School District webpage. Select the "Family Resources" tab. At the very top select "2020-21 Online Registration."

When is the Brookings Harbor School District registration open?

The portal for registration opened June 1, 2021. You will be able to register your student for in-person instruction and you will also have the option to register your student for our full online option, Brookings-Harbor K-12 Academy.

How to know if you forgot your PowerSchool password?

If you have previously set up a PowerSchool Parent Account, you should have received a letter with the email you used. If you have forgotten your username/password, click the Forgot Username/Password option on the home screen and it will email you information to the email provided. If you have not received that letter, please contact your school

How to get a black dot in parent portal?

The Parent option should have a black dot in the circle. If not, click on the circle next to Parent to insert the black dot. Type in your email address in the Email Address and Verify Email Address boxes. Type in a password that you will use each time you log in to the Parent Portal.

How many usernames do parents need to access their student account?

This means that parents only need one username and password to access all their students. You will need the three pieces of required information before you can add another student to your existing account. To add a new student to an account, first, log in to Parent Portal.
