BISD Partners with Education Foundation to Provide School Supplies for Students

The Brownwood Education Foundation has partnered with BISD to fund the project. "BEF and BISD have been talking about it for several years," said Liesa Land, BISD Deputy Superintendent, "so this year we just reached out and asked them. Parents will only be asked to send the two to three things on the school supply list.

STAAR Scores Accessible Through TEA Online Student Portal

STAAR scores may be accessed on an online student portal created by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Log in to the student portal at www.texasassessment.com to view your child’s STAAR scores and access additional resources.

Eight Brownwood High School HOSA Students Qualify for State Competition

BHS recently sent 22 students to participate in the Area HOSA (Health Science Professionals) competition in Killeen, Texas. They competed against 989 HOSA members across Area 5 from Abilene to Dallas. Of those students, eight emerged victorious and have punched their ticket to the state competition in Galveston, Texas April 19-22.

BHS Recognizes January Employees of the Month

Brownwood High School (BHS) recently recognized their January 2022 teacher and staff of the month. Telise Murray and Rhonda Guerrero were selected to receive the honor.

BHS Photography Student Receives Honorable Mention at ATPI Fall Photo Contest

In November, BHS Photography 2 students participated in the ATPI Fall Photo Contest. BHS student Kaileigh Johnson received an Honorable Mention for her photograph titled “The Road Ahead.”

When is Brownwood High School graduation?

Brownwood High School graduation is currently scheduled for 7:00 pm on Friday, May 28 at Gordon Wood Stadium. If there is bad weather on Friday night, the start time will be pushed back in 30 minute increments with 9:00 p.m. as the latest possible start time.

Is Brownwood ISD end of year?

Brownwood ISD has announced its 2020-2021 End-of-Year Employee Awards. The awards are sponsored by the Brownwood Education Foundation and include service awards, retiree recognitions, employees of the year, teachers of the year from each campus, as well as regional teacher of the year nominees.
