How often will the parent portal be available?

Once your account is set-up, it will be available every year with the username and password you created. Student Portal allows students in grades 6-12 view their grades/attendance. For more information please download the 2021 Parent Portal User Guide PDF File.

How do I apply for parent self serve access?

Parent Self Serve access requires the student’s parent or guardian to apply online using the login link below. Only individuals identified in the student’s records as the parent or guardian may apply for access. Access requires responsible behavior when viewing the student’s information.

How do I set up individual parent access?

Setting up individual parent access involves several detailed steps that guarantee this security. Once these have been completed, the parent will only need to enter a user name and password to access the information. Personal information required to be entered for online access requests include:

Absence

Please let us know, using the Absence Form below, if your child will be absent from school. The form should be completed if your child is ill or if you have a planned absence from school.

Oryx After School Club

Our Oryx Club operates during term time to provide supervision for children waiting for siblings or activities after school. Spaces are limited. Please contact the Primary Office for further information.

School Bus

We have a school bus that runs between Al Mouj and BSM. Please contact the Primary & Senior Offices to find out more.

What is Parent Portal?

Parent Portal not only monitors your student's attendance (at the elementary level) and academic progress through the internet, it will also be the site where you locate documents, register students in school, and update demographic information. Once your account is set-up, it will be available every year with the username and password you created.

What is Student Portal?

The same website as the Parent Portal, but students in grades 6-12 will have access to their grades/attendance.

Can I change my password?

In Parent Portal, yes, go to Account Preferences and click on the pencil icon next to the password to edit your password. In Student Portal, no.

Can I check my student's lunch balance?

In Parent Portal, it is available under Balance. This will show you the student's lunch balance, as well as any fees due.

Can progress reports be emailed to me?

Currently elementary cannot see grades. For secondary the answer is Yes! Go to Email Notification, select the reports you would like to receive, frequency, any additional e-mails, and Submit.

Enrolled my Kindergarten student in the spring, do I need to complete Enrollment Express again?

Yes, but you will be completing returning student information. We also ask that you upload proof of residency.

Forgot the Email I used to create my account-what do I do now?

Please email bssdpschoolparents@bssd.net and provide your student's name and school, your name, and email associated with the account. Once your information has been verified, you will be emailed your student's information. Please allow 48 hours (M-F) for a return email.
