Does Barstow unified school district provide water bottles?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Barstow Unified School District is providing water bottles for our students and staff during school hours. Supplying water bottles comes at a significant cost to the District and many bottles are being discarded half-full.

How do I create a BUSD parent account?

First, open the BUSD Parent Portal website by clicking here. Once the login screen appears, click on the Create New Account link. The Parent option should have a black dot in the circle. If not, click on the circle next to Parent to insert the black dot. Type in your email address in the Email Address and Verify Email Address boxes.

Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium Assessments

The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) computer adaptive assessments are aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).

California Science Tests (CAST)

The new, computer-based CAST measures student acquisition of the California Next Generation Science Standards. It is administered in grades five and eight, and once in high school. The new computer-based CAST replaces the California Standards Tests (CST) for Science.

California Alternate Assessments (CAA)

The computer-based CAA for ELA and CAA for mathematics is administered to students with the most significant cognitive disabilities in grades three through eight and grade eleven. Test items are aligned with the CCSS and are based on the Core Content Connectors.
