At Calais School Department we seek to maintain a safe environment for employees, students, families, and the community. To support those goals, we have partnered with Concentric by Ginkgo to provide an optional and free pooled testing program https://www. concentricbyginkgo.com/.
· Calais High/Middle School and Calais Alternative School will begin classes as previously scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 · All students and employees will wear masks while inside the building until we are able to begin pool testing.
NEW CALAIS MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL AND CALAIS ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL PROTOCOLS (effective immediately): · Calais High/Middle School and Calais Alternative School will begin classes as previously scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 · All students and employees will wear masks while inside the building until we are able to begin pool testing.
· Upon their return to classes Calais Elementary School students and all employees will wear masks in the building until we are able to begin pool testing. The expected date of pool testing is Monday, September 13th
On Wednesday March 11, CHS hosted the annual post secondary fair. Colleges, businesses, and military recruiters set up tables in the school gymnasium and students throughout the school were invited to the gym to visit with tables that interested them. Other local schools were also invited to the fair.
Our Winter Athletic Banquet will take place on Wednesday, March 18, at 6:00 pm in the Calais High School Cafeteria.
Indoor soccer will be starting this Sunday with Josh & Jenn Smith, but please note days and times due to gym availability. There is no fee and no need to sign up. Feel free to bring a friend!
The 8th Grade Ski Trip has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 11. Students need to arrive during normal school hours. The bus will leave around 8:00-8:30 am and return sometime between 7:00-7:30 pm. Students are responsible to find their own way home.
