Delegate access in CalCentral allows active students at UC Berkeley to grant access to certain aspects of their student account. Delegates can be parents, guardians, spouses, or any other person the student wishes.

How do I set up delegate access in calcentral?

Setting up delegate access in CalCentral is a 3-step process. The student needs to log in to CalCentral, then go to MyDashboard > Profile > Delegate Access. The student will then select "Create or Manage Delegates" followed by "Delegate Access to a New Contact."

Once the student completes the request to delegate access, the delegate will receive an email notification. This email notification will contain a link and instructions on how to create a CalNet ID and a unique security key. The delegate will then create a CalNet ID and unique passphrase.

Step 1: Authorization

The student needs to log in to CalCentral, then go to MyDashboard > Profile > Delegate Access.

Step 2: Create CalNet ID

Once the student completes the request to delegate access, the delegate will receive an email notification. This email notification will contain a link and instructions on how to create a CalNet ID and a unique security key.

Step 3: Link the Accounts

Once the delegate has established their CalNet account, the delegate will enter the security key and email address into CalCentral (link is external) , agree to the terms and conditions, and link their account with their student.

How to reset your password

If you have forgotten your CalNet ID or passphrase, you may request a reset. In the box, enter your Student Number, Employee Number, Affiliate Number, or Recovery (non-Berkeley) Email Address and click on “Request Reset”. If the system has your recovery email on file, you will receive an email with instructions on how to proceed.

How do I view my account balance?

You can view your account balance through your CalCentral account. Log in to your account. Select the “My Finances” tab at the top of the page. There, you can see your fees due now, charges not yet due, and get your overall account balance.

How do I receive financial aid?

Find verification of your financial aid award in CalCentral. Access forms via the Financial Aid Forms page.

How do I enroll?

Use CalCentral to review your academic record and to enroll in classes. Request verification of your enrollment online via your dashboard, “My Academics”, under Academic Records.

Does Central College have parent portal?

Central College offers parent access to student records through a parent portal. Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), parents must be given access to the portal by their student.

Does FERPA require authorization?

Authorization must come directly from the student due to the student’s rights under FERPA. You may send a request for access to your student at any time. Please discuss your request with your student prior to requesting access.
