How can parents get involved at Camberwell High School?

Camberwell High School is committed to developing a strong partnership with the families of our students. We promote this partnership through keeping parents informed about school programs and events, showcasing student work and through parent meetings, seminars and discussion sessions. There are a range of ways in which parents can be involved.

What is the email address for a student at camhigh school?

School students should have a valid email address with firstnamelastname@camhigh.school.nz as their address (ie susansmith@camhigh.school.nz ). This email address should be used only for learning purposes.

Established in 1883 Cambridge High School (CHS) has a proud tradition of meeting the educational needs of our local community. With a roll of approximately 1700 students we are able to offer our diverse school population a wide range of academic, cultural and sporting opportunities.

The School Council is the major governing body providing planning, funds and developments within the school. At Camberwell High School, the School Council puts student learning and wellbeing at the heart of its work. The Council is comprised of parents, community members and Department of Education and Training (DET) members.

The Parents and Friends Association offers parents the opportunity to become involved in the life of the school. The PFA supports key events in the school including:

The Friends of Music is a group comprised of parents who have children in the CHS Music Program. The purpose of the group is to support the high-quality Music Program at Camberwell High School.

School News

The ACHS Academic Decathlon won the White Division and qualified for State. The top 9 highest qualifiers will be sent to State to represent ACHS and Ventura County.

School Donation

Our School Donation is optional and is currently set at: 1st student $165.00, 2nd student $115.00, 3rd student $60.00. Family maximum $340.00 (3 or more children). The School Donation is not compulsory and may qualify for an IRD donation rebate.
