Family camp was added in 1963 and in 1976 YMCA Camp Gorham welcomed both girls and boys to camp. While the Camp itself is un-paralleled in terms of facility the magic that makes Camp happen comes from the campers that continue to build on our legacy from summer to summer.

Is Gorham YMCA a CHA?

YMCA Camp Gorham is proud to be an American Camp Association (ACA) AND Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) accredited camp. The ACA nationally recognizes camps which meet the highest standards focusing on health, safety, and program quality. The CHA provides the accepted Standards for Equestrian Programs.

Can you cancel YMCA camp in 2020?

Effective summer 2020: families may cancel 1 4 days prior to your arrival to camp and you will receive a full refund, including your deposit. If for any reason the YMCA of Greater Rochester must cancel camp, you will be refunded.

Cabin Options

Winterized cottages sleep between 4-20 people; all feature kitchenettes with a four-burner stove, oven, sink and small refrigerator. They are equipped with dishware, pots, cooking utensils, microwave and a coffee pot. Cottages have modern bathrooms with showers; living rooms; wood stove or fireplace. All cottages have bunk beds.

How long is July Camp 2?

Length: 2 weeks. Sunday, July 18 - Friday, July 30. July Camp 2 is a great way to enjoy camp life in a two week time frame, all the while experiencing the energy and excitement through its overlap of Main Camp. This session is packed full of skills development, out-of-camp trips, and special evening programs.

How long is the 5th grade camp?

Grades: 5K-8th. Length: 2 weeks. Sunday, June 13 - Friday, June 25. This session is ideal for older, first-time campers or younger campers who want an experience longer than the one-week Adventure Camp.
