Accredited as recently as 2006, Carl Junction is recognized as one of the outstanding school districts in the growing southwest Missouri area. Beginning in 1961, small schools consolidated and the district centralized its campus near the heart of Carl Junction.

To help our students become involved in what they are reading, many Carl Junction teachers are using the FAB 4. Carl Junction Senior Calvin Richins has been named a Commended Student in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.
This area was purchased from the Carl Junction Special Road District in 1977. The area provides boat and wade anglers with access to Center Creek, which contains game fish throughout the year. A boat ramp and parking lot are provided. From the west side of Carl Junction, take Route JJ south, cross Center Creek and turn east into the area.
