How many trailers does Caroline County public schools have?

The Caroline County Public School Board voted unanimously at its regularly scheduled meeting on October 8, 2018, to move into contract negotiations with Sarah B. Calveric, Ph.D. to become the next Superintendent of Caroline County Public Schools. Dr. Calveric has served as the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction for CCPS since 2016.

Who is the coordinator of virtual learning in Caroline County?

The Caroline County School Board appointed Mrs. Margaret Bryant as Coordinator of Virtual Learning and Innovation at their meeting on July 12, 2021.

Who is Elizabeth Markwood?

The Caroline County School Board appointed Mrs. Elizabeth Markwood as Assistant Principal of Work Based Learning and CTE at their meeting on June 14, 2021.#N#Mrs. Markwood graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Career and Technical Education from Virginia Tech and an Administration and Supervision Endorsement from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mrs. Markwood is currently a Marketing Education Teacher/Coordinator and CTE Department Lead for Hanover County Public Schools. Serving in this leadership role for the past fifteen years, she has been awarded Outstanding DECA Advisor, Teacher of the Year for Patrick Henry High School, and Teacher of the Year for the Virginia Association of Marketing Educators (VAME). Mrs. Markwood was an Assistant Principal for Prince George County Public Schools from 2001-2006. Caroline County is excited to welcome Mrs. Markwood to the team for the 2021-2022 school year.

1st Grandparent Group Event

Thursday, January 27th, the Family Engagement team hosted the first in a series of Grandparent groups. The Caroline Sheriff’s Office presented, “The Dangers of Social Media” and Grandparents/Guardians participated in individual school break out sessions. Participants also received food boxes and a variety of school resources.

Do you have to be screened before applying to a school?

All students must be screened prior to acceptance into the program. If you are contacted to complete a full application, you may be asked to bring your child to the appointment or at another time.

Does a child's application guarantee enrollment?

Completing the application does not guarantee enrollment. Children participating in the screening process does not guarantee enrollment. Acceptance into the program is based on eligibility and not first come, first serve.
