What is the PowerSchool Parent Portal?

Since communication is one of the keys to student success, Cazenovia Central School District has instituted the use of the PowerSchool Student Information System. This web-based program includes a Parent Portal allowing parents secure access to their children’s grades, attendance and other school information.

How does the parent portal work?

The Parent Portal’s email capability allows for automated communication between school and home, as well as providing a means of emailing teachers. Parents will be issued a user name and password enabling them to access their student’s data. Usernames and passwords will be issued through the Middle School Office.

Are current grades available in the parent portal?

Please note that although current grades are accessible, there will be a lapse to allow teachers time to grade assignments and enter the information. The Parent Portal’s email capability allows for automated communication between school and home, as well as providing a means of emailing teachers.
