Workforce Solutions North Texas Board is imposing a two-week waiting period before a client is allowed to transfer from one child care provider to another. This policy better aligns with common private-pay practices, and allows for the client to have enough advance notice of the prorated PSOC amount and ample time to pay the provider. During the waiting period, the child’s referral at the original provider shall continue unless the parent requests a suspension.

In order to support Texas’ continued economic recovery, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has implemented Service Industry Recovery (SIR) child care services to help low-wage workers in TWC-specified service industries who generally operate in close quarters with their customers and whose jobs cannot be accomplished remotely.
To apply for SIR Child Care Assistance, please complete the SIR Application below. Then submit the completed application, proof of citizenship for the children and proof that you are employed in a service industry referenced above to us through this portal by uploading the documentation below.
