Dear Families and Staff: Recently, both New York State and local Departments of Health have created policies to support schools in their efforts to educate students in-person during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. COVID test supplies are essential for the success of in-person learning.
October 13, 2021 Dear Clinton Families, I want to reach out and say thank you to all of you for helping us stay safe at school due to a number of many good reasons. I know that times continue to be challenging, especially for families with children under 12 as you wait for the availability of a safe vaccine.
Dear Colleagues: REMINDER As you may or may not be aware, the Governor has ordered a mandatory testing requirement for all teachers and staff in schools.

August 30, 2021 Dear Families: I thank you for your support and input regarding the development and implementation of our plan to have students in schools safely this school year. The leadership challenge for me is building a shared vision of what we can do together that achieves our goals of keeping students in school and keeping them safe.

James Island Charter High School made its first appearance in the boys' soccer state finals since 1997 count, as the Trojans held off Eastside 1-0 to win the South Carolina High School League AAAA championship. This is the program's first-ever state title.
Congratulations to Kristian Washington of West Ashley High School and Academic Magnet High School's Alex Williams. They participated in the fifth annual South Carolina STEM Signing Day earlier this month. The event, sponsored by Boeing South Carolina, recognized 92 students (two from each county in the state) that intend to pursue college degrees in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields of study.
