What is Chambers County School System?

The Chambers County School System’s mission denotes, “The Chambers County School System, in partnership with parents and the community is dedicated to producing skilled, responsible graduates by providing and supporting high quality, highly effective public schools.” This mission was established through a complex process of developing a strategic plan that included the Superintendent, Board, staff, community members, parents, and students. The process was facilitated by Marcia Burke with Burke Enterprises, a consulting firm located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. We envision a school district where each student is given multiple opportunities to excel in academic, social, emotional, and physical development in a safe environment.

What is the purpose of collaborative decision making in school?

Innovative, effective school leaders will use collaborative, data-informed decision making for continuous improvement in student achievement. High expectations and performance standards for student and adults will be consistently monitored, measured, reported and used to improve student achievement.

What is the Sapphire Web Portal?

CASD's Sapphire Web Portal is our tool for parents and students to access instant, online, timely and secure student information about their student's work in the Chambersburg Area School District, about issues that may affect them and their family. Parents are a key factor to their child's educational and academic success.

Why do I need an account?

Parents/Guardians and Students can use their account to get real time access to Online Reports, Attendance, Discipline and Schedules. Parent/Guardian and Student accounts have different access and displayed information may differ. Parents are encouraged to apply for their own account and not use your child's account.

What information can be found on the Community Web Portal?

Calendar: Tracks student class attendance and class assignments Schedule: Lists your student's class schedule, assignments and grades Attendance: Shows when your student was absent from class. Behavior: Shows any behavior incidents Reports: Displays student's schedule, missing assignments, report cards and grade transcripts
