The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) recently recognized these efforts by awarding Chaparral High School the highest possible accreditation that is given in the State of California.
In addition, Chaparral High School was one of twenty-five schools, out of 504, that wasselected by the State Board of Education to be a Model Continuation High School. The Snowline Joint Unified School District Mission Statement states, "Decisions should be made in the best interest of students.
