Welcome to the Charleston County School District. Charleston County School District (CCSD) is the second largest school system in South Carolina representing a unique blend of urban, suburban, and rural schools that span 1,000 square miles of coastal lands.
The Charleston R-I School District seeks statements of qualifications and proposals from qualified companies to identify and implement energy conservation measures and selected capital improvements that reduce utility consumption, operations costs, maintenance costs and to improve facilities through building infrastructure and system enhancements.
The Charleston R-1 School District has a surplus of seven (7) Filing Cabinets and one (1) small Computer Desk available free of charge and available on a first come, first serve basis. All items are used and may have cosmetic damage but are otherwise in working condition.
James Island Charter High School made its first appearance in the boys' soccer state finals since 1997 count, as the Trojans held off Eastside 1-0 to win the South Carolina High School League AAAA championship. This is the program's first-ever state title.
Congratulations to Kristian Washington of West Ashley High School and Academic Magnet High School's Alex Williams. They participated in the fifth annual South Carolina STEM Signing Day earlier this month. The event, sponsored by Boeing South Carolina, recognized 92 students (two from each county in the state) that intend to pursue college degrees in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields of study.
To register your child for a CCSD school: Gather the following documents required for registration. All required documentation and forms, including the notarized affidavit, must be emailed directly to schools. Child's Legal Birth Certificate. SC Certificate of Immunization.
If a parent fails to provide verifiable proof that the student owns property within Charleston County by the Board approved deadline of June 30, 2021, the student will lose the seat they may have been offered as of the day after June 30, 2021. There will be no recourse for reconsideration.
If your child is transitioning to the next level (e.g., from elementary to middle school, from middle to high school), you do not need to register your child. If you need to update your child’s information online, use the Student Information Update process.
