Our students are given the power to shape their education, supported by high academic standards and guided by caring and knowledgeable staff. Personalized learning created learners who are motivated and excited about coming to school.

Happening at Eastern Carver

Our weather can change quickly this time of year. In the event of a weather-related school closing or late start/early release, parents will be contacted as soon as possible by email and/or phone.

Purposeful Learning

Teachers in Eastern Carver County Schools not only lead instruction but also facilitate learning for each student. They teach by guiding students towards mastery of content and instilling 21st century skills.

Engagement with Learning Tools

With teachers as facilitators, students use a variety of educational tools and resources to maximize learning. Our goal is to prepare students for success beyond high school, wherever their aspirations take them.

Collaborative Environment

We are redefining learning spaces with a variety of furniture, layouts and technology that facilitate collaboration, creativity, comfort, and safety.

Learner Voice & Choice

Students have the freedom to design the way they showcase their learning based on individual styles, experiences, passions, and needs. Respected as capable co-designers, learner agency is cultivated throughout all learning.

Serving All Students

In our innovative approach, Gifted Services educators in each of our schools work together across our pre K-12 system and work with teachers, counselors, administrators, parents, and students to focus on the individual needs of each of our learners as they learn and grow toward realizing their immense potential.

Teaching Character Through PBIS

The exceptional approaches we use for teaching extend to our behavior support system.

Exploring Special Interests

Even the youngest students start with science in Eastern Carver County Schools. The engineering design process is introduced in Kindergarten as "Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Improve". In every elementary classroom, students have STEM lessons embedded in their day not as an add-on curriculum.

Utilizing Technology

Our technology-rich environments are designed with one purpose in mind: to increase student learning. You will find technology in every corner of the district, including Wi-Fi on school buses, but we view devices and technology tools as just that - tools for students and teachers.

Dual Language Immersion

Spanish language and culture surround the personalized learning experience at La Academia, our two-way dual language immersion school. Unique to the west metro, this style of immersion is known as the recommended way to learn a new language. The advantage of a two-way dual-language is that it combines native speakers with new-language learners.

We Are Exceptional Personalized Learning

Eastern Carver County Schools students learn at their own pace — it’s part of personalized learning. Students can easily work above grade level in reading and math, and in a few cases some students have gone to a middle school or high school for what they need.

Happening at La Academia

For the fifth year in a row, Eastern Carver County Schools’ Finance Department received the Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO).
