Leah Martello, a long-time Breakthrough educator, is Principal at Citizens Academy. Leah joined Breakthrough back in 2009 as a founding team member at Village Prep Cliffs. Prior to her pioneering work at Village Prep, Leah attended Cleveland State University, graduating with a degree in Early Childhood education.

The Citizens Leadership Academy curriculum is designed to prepare our students to succeed in rigorous college-prep high schools and then in college and the job market. The curriculum is a synergistic approach based on two discrete learning models: Core Skill Building and Expeditionary Learning.
