Students entering Claremont High School in Grade 9 - 12 are placed in mathematics classes based on grade information posted on their most recent transcript. Math proficiency level on current (as well as prior for CHS) California Assessment of Student Performance & Progress (CAASPP), if applicable.

Who can access CUSD's canvas?

What is a parent observer in CUSD?

In accordance with the California Mathematics Placement Act of 2015 (SB 359), CUSD utilizes the following guidelines in recommending students for placement in secondary (grades 7-12) mathematics courses.

Can parents add parent connection to their phone?

Parents can add a ParentConnection icon directly to their Smart Phones creating a shortcut to give them quick and easy access to view student (s) attendance, assignments, marks, etc. Parents can also make on-line payments for food services. Canvas for Students

Students can log in to Canvas using their CUSD username and password. Students are automatically added to Canvas courses according to their class schedules. Students needing Canvas support should fill out the CUSD Student Technology Support form.

Canvas for Parents and Caregivers

As a parent of a Canvas user, you have the opportunity to observe your child’s progress in their classes and help support their learning. Parents and caregivers who have completed the Parent Connect form are automatically enrolled in Canvas as parent observers. Once you are logged in, you will have access to all of your child’s classes.

Canvas for Staff

Staff can log in to Canvas using their CUSD Google Apps for Education username and password. Courses are automatically created and populated from the Student Information System (Q). Staff needing Canvas support should contact CUSD Canvas Support.
