If you find yourself driven to intense athletic competition, Clinton High competes in the Mississippi Athletic Conference and one of the largest classes in Iowa! Apprenticeship opportunities in Welding where our students partner with local businesses to experience the welding trade, get college credit, and get paid for it! Be a part of Synergy!
CHS has also been named a model Response to Intervention (RTI) Site for our work to ensure that every student reaches success. The honor is bestowed on only a few secondary schools in the entire country!
Be a part of Synergy! Synergy is a particular group of kids who work with a team of teachers and business leaders to help solve our community’s problems during the school day!
We have been host to over 90 school districts from Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota who have made the trek to CHS to witness our dedication to our student’s success in person.
As mentioned above, Clinton High School is THE best place to learn in our Gateway area because it operates with the help of real humans who care about every student. However, being human means that we also know some of our best lessons are through failure. Sometimes we do not meet our high expectations for ourselves, and we sometimes fail to meet the expectations of our students or families. Yet, we do not make excuses, and we learn from our mistakes (just like anyone should). If an expectation is not met at any point, you are encouraged to bring the matter to an adult in the building so that we can work through the situation together. We do not have all the answers, but, working together, we are optimistic we can come up with one.
Students are tardy to school if they are no in their 1st period/block class at 8:10. Parents' notes do not excuse a tardy. You may read the policy here.
CHS Director of Bands, Mr. Kolman McMurphy, has been selected by his colleagues as the 2021-22 Teacher of the Year! He is also the Laurens School District 56 Teacher of the Year! Congratulations!
Medicines Parents, if your child has medications in the health room, please come to the school and pick those up by the end of the day on June 17, 2021.
It is once again the time of year that the Clinton Devil Regiment is selling fruit for its annual fundraiser. Please seek out a CMS or CHS band member and ask them about the sale.
