Why is it important to have a vegetation management program?

Strategic tree trimming reduces the frequency of downed trees on lines causing power outages. Generally speaking, healthy trees don’t fall on power lines, and clear lines don’t cause problems. Proactive trimming and pruning keep lines clear to promote reliability.

When was Cloverland founded?

While today’s world is radically different than it was when Cloverland was founded in 1938, our original seven cooperative values remain just as relevant today.

Is Cloverland a cooperative?

As you know, Cloverland is a not-for-profit cooperative, which means we strive to keep our costs in check to keep our rates affordable. This factor extends to our approach to vegetation management. If trees grow too close to power lines, the potential for costly repairs also increases. Effective tree trimming and other vegetation management efforts keep costs down for everyone. Our E.U.P. community is a special place. We appreciate the beauty trees afford, yet we also know our community depends on us to provide reliable energy. Through vegetation management, we are better able to keep power lines clear, prepare for future weather events and secure the reliability of our grid.

Is Cloverland open to everyone?

Cloverland was built by and belongs to the diverse communities and consumer-members we serve. Membership is open to everyone in our service territory, regardless of race, religion, age, disability, gender identity, language, political perspective or socioeconomic status.
