Elementary School District 159 (the “District”) is located in Cook County, Illinois and serves portions of the communities of Matteson, Richton Park, and Tinley Park. The student population of 1,935 is served by five sites: four grade schools- Woodgate, Armstrong, Yates, Sieden Prairie and one middle school, Colin Powell.

We have made many recent improvements to our campus and we continue to expand our extra-curricular programs to ensure that all students may make the most of their time and explore a broad variety of interests.

Happy New Year! We have made it through another year of COVID-19. This message comes amid an extreme increase in the number of persons, especially children contracting the COVID-19 the Omicron variant. We have been monitoring the latest data to help prioritize the health and safety of our staff and students.
