What is Collingwood School?

Collingwood School is a coeducational day school located on two campuses in West Vancouver, BC. Our purpose is to teach, model, inspire and encourage our students, ultimately preparing them to become successful global citizens.

What is Parents’ Council?

At Collingwood, Parents’ Council is a group of volunteer parents and guardians whose primary focus is community engagement. This is achieved by offering a wide range of activities and events which are designed to connect our parents, and strengthen our school community. Our secondary aim is supplementary fundraising for Advancement of our School.

What is the Collingwood connection club?

The Persian Connection Club provides an opportunity for any Collingwood parent to join and learn more about Persian culture. Stay tuned for events running in 2021-2022. The Korean Connection Club provides an opportunity for any Collingwood parent to join and learn more about Korean culture.

What is the Collingwood School Gala?

The Collingwood School Gala is presented by the Parents’ Council in support of Collingwood School. Every other year, parents are invited to enjoy an incredible evening filled with live & silent auctions, entertainment, dancing, delicious food and a few fun surprises. In 2019 we had a fabulous 1984-themed gala which was a huge success.

When is the JK-12 Parent Conference?

This day is offered free of charge to all parents from JK-12. Parent Conference. October 26, 2020.

How do Buddy Families connect with their new family?

Buddy Families are asked to connect with their New Family by email or phone, and perhaps meet for a coffee or a small get together over the summer (play at the beach, etc), so that new students may have an opportunity to meet a child in their grade prior to the first day of school.

Our Mission

It is the Head of House’s mission to create and foster School spirit in a collaborative and caring environment. Guidance is provided to the students in the areas of personal, social and emotional advising, academic support, and career counseling. The multi-aged House groupings will also allow for mentoring and peer leadership.

Our Philosophy

Our Team strives to provide a safe, caring and non-judgmental environment that enables students to work through challenges and develop coping strategies. Through an open-door, collaborative approach we develop the overall well-being of our students.
