Chicago Public Schools is excited to announce that starting April 22nd, 2019, Parent Portal will be replaced with a new system called Aspen. Aspen will provide the same capabilities of the old Parent Portal while adding new features including Graduation Requirements, Student Fees and a new, easy-to-use mobile interface.
Student and Parent Portals provide access to students’ grades, assignments, and attendance, among other new features, such as the ability to view and pay fees online. GoCPS is the online platform that allows families to apply to nearly every CPS school and program using one site, one application, and one deadline.

Alternatively, you can use your valid Chicago Public Library (CPL) card at any branch to access the Parent Portal. Elementary cumulative cards and high school transcripts are not available on the Parent Portal.
Log on to the School view. Select Grades > GPA. On the Reports menu, click Grade Point Averages. The Grade Point Averages pop-up appears.

To protect your account from someone attempting access by trying random passwords, when the wrong password is entered 5 times, your account will be disabled. Should you get locked out, you can unlock the account by successfully completing the “Forgot my password” wizard on the main login page.
To view GPA results: Log on to the School view. Click the Grades tab. On the GPA side-tab, click Results. The page displays the results of the last Grade Point Averages report run.
You can find your GPA on your Academic Transcript.
To calculate your GPA, divide the total number of grade points earned by the total number of letter graded units undertaken. For each unit of credit the following grade points are earned: A+ = 4. A = 4.
Click on the Login button. On the left hand side of the StudentVUE screen is a Grade Book tab. If you click on this tab, you can view your courses and the overall grade and missing assignments for each class.

To use a CPL public computer, you must have a valid CPL card in good standing. Simply make an online reservation at the PC Reservation Station. You can choose from the next available PC or pick a time that is most convenient for you. Patrons are allowed two 1-hour PC sessions each day.
