The New Aspen Parent Portal. Chicago Public Schools is excited to announce that starting April 22nd, 2019, Parent Portal will be replaced with a new system called Aspen.
What is Aspen? Aspen is a secure, Web-based school information management system. It is used by Marlborough High School to track student data – from attendance to conduct and grades to schedules. MHS uses Family and Student portals to increase communication among parents, students, teachers, and administrators.

To add a new contact, select Options > Add. The New Student Contact page appears. In the Selection Type pop-up, indicate whether Aspen should display Related Contacts, All People or All Contacts. Make your selection, and then click OK.
On your mobile device, type your district 's Aspen URL into the address bar of a web browser. The login screen appears. Tip: Create a bookmark or shortcut to Aspen Mobile on your device's Home screen.
Make sure that you are using your regular CPS username and password. Check your spelling. If you continue to have trouble logging in you can contact any of your classroom teachers or Mr. Nieto (jnieto@cps.edu) for assistance.
Your student's ID can be found on a report card or contact your school's main office.
Log on to the School view. Select Grades > GPA. On the Reports menu, click Grade Point Averages. The Grade Point Averages pop-up appears.
To protect your account from someone attempting access by trying random passwords, when the wrong password is entered 5 times, your account will be disabled. Should you get locked out, you can unlock the account by successfully completing the “Forgot my password” wizard on the main login page.

A list of your student's classes appears.Note: If you have more than one Aspen student, you can select their name from the drop-down at the top of the screen. Notes: This list displays classes for the current year and term.

Aspen Tips. The amount of information entered into the Gradebook may vary from school to school and teacher to teacher. Aspen does not include school announcements. Please visit your school’s website for upcoming events.

Aspen Student and Parent Accounts. Aspen is a secure online information resource for Cambridge Public Schools. It contains family contact information, an online grade book, copies of progress reports and a variety of documents that teachers, students and parents may need.
Parents use their email address for Aspen usernames, entered in lowercase. If you have recently changed your email address, please inform the school, so that they can update your email address and your Aspen username. Student usernames are their ID number.
Parent accounts only require an email address. If you have provided one during registration or when you updated your contact information, an account will be created automatically. Account letters are mailed home at the start of the school year, and every week for new families.
