Chicago Public Schools is excited to announce that starting April 22nd, 2019, Parent Portal will be replaced with a new system called Aspen. Aspen will provide the same capabilities of the old Parent Portal while adding new features including Graduation Requirements, Student Fees and a new, easy-to-use mobile interface.
Student and Parent Portals provide access to students’ grades, assignments, and attendance, among other new features, such as the ability to view and pay fees online. GoCPS is the online platform that allows families to apply to nearly every CPS school and program using one site, one application, and one deadline.
What is Child Protective Services (CPS)? Child Protective Services is a state agency that investigates reports of child abuse and neglect. Child safety is the first concern of Child Protective Services. They will work with both parents to safely care for their child.

Is there a CPS Families Portal app? Yes, the ClassLink App for Families is available. It can be found in the Google Play and Apple App Store. The app is called ClassLink Launchpad. Once installed, guardians will be prompted to search for a school. Enter "Columbia" and choose Columbia Public School for Families.
Indiana School Corporations, Public and Non-Public Schools will use the “CPI/CPS Portal” as a Requesting Organization. DCS will pre-register and establish “Organization Profiles” for all of the schools identified by Indiana Department of Education.
Non-KidTraks Vendors or Newly Formed Organizations will be required to complete a one-time registration process to become an Organization through the “CPI/CPS Organization Registration” page. This link will become available on June 4th.

Right to an attorney: Even if your child does not live with you, you have a right to be represented by an attorney in a child dependency case. Your attorney can look at the files, talk to CPS and other agencies, tell you about the law, help you understand your rights and help you at hearings.
