The Parent Portal allows parents of children making an in-year school application to do so via an online interface. The application allows a user to create an account, add their children to the account, and create one or more school preferences for that child.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to make a formal request to the Council for access to personal data held about you or your child. Croydon Council has a duty under the Children’s Act 2004 to work with partners to provide and improve services to children and young people in the area.
Over the course of the year, students participate in a wide variety of activities, including field trips, public service, social activism, lunch-time activities like chess and knitting clubs, or our cross country or MathCounts teams.
The Crowden School is a 3rd through 8th grade private school with chamber music at its heart. Since 1983, Crowden’s ensemble-based curriculum has instilled in our students the collaborative, creative, and critical-thinking skills to succeed in life.
Crowden students enjoy a rich variety of extracurricular activities outside of music, including sports, dance, theater, scouting, and others.
Playing music together in ensembles, students learn skills such as focused listening, practice, and perseverance, and an empathetic group dynamic.

Once we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a day visit for your child. This is an opportunity for your child to fully experience a day in the life of the Crowden School. We assign a buddy to the visiting child, and include the visitor in all activities.
Fill out the top portion of the Teacher Recommendation Form and ask your child's current classroom teacher to complete and return directly to The Crowden School.
Submit the Transcript Release Form to your child’s current school to release progress reports from the past two years. You may also include your own copies of progress reports with the application
When you give $100 or more, you automatically join Crowden's membership program, which provides specialized benefits for different levels of annual support!
A coeducational day school for grades three to eight, the Crowden School provides a transformative education with chamber music at its core. Crowden’s donors sustain this program by making up the difference between tuition income and the actual cost of educating each child. Donors also support financial aid, which is offered to over half of Crowden School students.
Many employers offer a Matching Gifts Program. This is a tremendous benefit that can double or even triple your gift to Crowden! Please check with your Human Resources Department for details.
Crowden offers a diverse slate of classes, camps, and workshops that are open to the general public. This includes private lessons, group classes, chamber ensembles, and the unique John Adams Young Composers Program.

No! The Crowden School prepares its students to excel in all areas after they graduate.
That’s OK! We welcome beginners on string instruments in the third, fourth, and fifth grades. At the audition, we value aptitude and enthusiasm for music as much as experience. These traits can be demonstrated by playing any musical instrument or by singing.
Prospective students are expected to demonstrate academic and musical proficiency at the appropriate level for their grade.
The Crowden School offers a need-based Financial Aid program, and qualified students are strongly encouraged to apply regardless of their ability to pay. 51% of Crowden School students receive need-based aid!

Crowden prepares its students to succeed in a variety of school environments. Most Crowden students are accepted into their first choice high school. Throughout the eighth-grade year, we help students get ready for high school through our High School Prep Course.
