FOCUS Parent Portal will go live for parent/student access to grades on Tuesday, September 3. Parent sign-up information is available here. Parent letters went home on Wednesday, September 11 that included your child's pin. Please stop by the office (with your ID) if you need additional support accessing Parent Portal.
Florida KidCare is our state's free or low cost health insurance program that provides comprehensive health coverage for children under 19 years old. Getting health coverage for your children before they become sick is very important. Children need regular check-ups so they can grow strong and healthy.
Deland Middle School is a BYOT school and teachers have the discretion to allow students to use cell phones/electronic devices for academic purposes as part of an instructional lesson.
The rental cost for a locker is $5.00. Lockers may be rented throughout the school year at school or on the Online School Store. All lockers are equipped with a Master Lock combination lock. If a lock is lost, there will be a $5.00 replacement fee.

Our middle school students not only excel academically, but they learn to become student leaders through participation in service activities and athletic programs. Our middle school students grow leaps and bounds during this important developmental time.
In seventh grade our students learn to balance their academic learning with time management, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ultimately these skills and others help students to achieve our global goal of acquiring valuable critical thinking skills.
In eighth grade our students are focused on developing the independence needed to thrive in high school. Throughout the year we measure student progress so that we can adjust our lessons appropriately.
Helping students grow in character is as important to us as their academic growth. For that reason we implement a yearlong, multi-pronged approach to learning and living the spiritual and interpersonal values of our community.
As students transition into our middle-school program, we begin to turn our focus to the organizational and time management skills that will help them be most successful as they move forward in their education.

Each person writing a check to a school or the School System should write the check on a commercially printed check with your name, address and phone number. Counter or starter checks will not be accepted.
The Bring Your Own Technology BYOT program allows students in participating schools and classrooms to use their own devices (laptops, smart phones, tablets, etc.) to connect to the district’s BYOT network.
