Today, the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees held a Special Meeting and approved $600,000 to be spent on safety and security improvements for the district. Details about the specific improvements were not publicly released given the security-sensitive nature of the items.
All teachers in DSISD began using Canvas for the 2019-20 school year and all parents are able to connect to their student’s accounts. Parent access in Canvas gives the ability to see what is going on in a course and a calendar of assignments.

Canvas is a Learning Management System (LMS) that allows teachers to provide a personalized learning experience through instructional support, class calendars, messages, notifications, assignments, collaborative activities, and resources that are tailored to each student in one easy-to-use, easy-to-access platform.
