The Dynamo Parents Club continued its mission to improve and expand its programs and community involvement by constructing the Alpharetta site in 1996. The original Alpharetta facility is named after Doug Coers and offers two indoor pools. The main competition pool is 8 lanes by 25 yards ranging from 4-7 feet deep.
On November 8, 1980, the Dynamo organization realized its long sought dream of a home facility with the dedication of the Dynamo Community Center. The facility is a three pool complex owned and operated by the Dynamo Parents’ Club, Inc.
Dynamo Swim School offers swim instruction for beginning swimmers at six Atlanta locations. Dynamo Juniors introduces swimmers to the concept of year-round swimming. Dynamo Masters provides year-round competitive swimming for adults while Dynamo Multisport builds triathletes.
Dynamo Swim School is currently offering swim lessons at Agnes Scott College, Alpharetta, Buckhead, Chamblee, City of Decatur – Oakhurst Pool and Dunwoody locations. We are excited to have all six locations open and conducting swim lessons. Dynamo Swim School tuition fees increased 10% beginning November 1, 2021.

Dynamo Swim Club is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that that brings the sport of swimming to individuals of all ages and experience levels. Since the club’s inception in 1964, we’ve grown from a small network of summer league teams to become one of the top ranked age group clubs in USA Swimming. Dynamo swimmers have enjoyed success at every level of competitive swimming from achieving state, regional and national team titles to setting American records and world ranked times. Continuing the Dynamo Olympic traditions in Tokyo for the 2021 Summer Games Gunnar Bentz, Jay Litherland and Brooks Curry join Team USA. Gia Pergolini will represent the USA and Dynamo in the 2021 Tokyo Paralympic Games. Dynamo had four swimmers in Rio for the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics.
Dynamo had four swimmers in Rio for the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics. Gunnar Bentz (gold medal) and Jay Litherland (5th) represented the USA, as did Paralympic finalist, McClain Hermes (8th). Additionally, 2012 London Olympian Matias Koski made his second Olympic appearance in Rio, representing Finland.
History. For over 50 years, Dynamo Swim Club has continually grown and developed into a model 18 and under club in the US. As a top age group program in Georgia Swimming, Dynamo has built numerous state champions and record holders and has achieved national recognition in countless National Age Group Top 16 rankings.
Furthermore, Dynamo consistently has more Scholastic All Americans than any other team in the country. Since the early 1980s, Dynamo swimmers have represented the United States at the Olympic Games, World Championships, the Pan American Games, Pan Pacific Championships, The Goodwill Games, and the World University Games.
