Early voting in the May 2022 election begins April 25 and continues through May 3. Election Day is Saturday, May 7. The last day to register to vote by Election Day is April 7.

Is EMS ISD open for kindergarten?

EMS ISD offers full-day Kindergarten at all EMS ISD elementary campuses as well as Pre-K at select schools throughout the district for those who qualify. Registration is now open for the 2021-2022 school year.

What is the Benefits Department?

The Benefits Department provides services to employees with benefits questions, problems related with access to or payment of benefits, benefit enrollment of newly eligible employees, and the processing of enrollment and claim forms.

How many days do you have to work to be eligible for unemployment?

Substitutes, part-time, seasonal or temporary employees who work at least 10 hours in a work week may be eligible for enrollment 31 days from their hire date and should fill out the enrollment or declination form provided at the time of your new hire paperwork.

How long do you have to enroll in a new job?

How to Enroll - New Employees. New Employees have 31 days from their employment start date to enroll or decline coverge for themselves and their eligible dependents.

Can I miss my 31 day enrollment period?

The 31 day enrollment period for new employees may happen to miss a payroll. Accordingly, new employees may see an adjustment (usually a double deduction) on their second or subsequest paychecks for the first month of coverage.
