Friday, September 6th is our first East Dover School Spirit Day for the new school year. Show your Bears pride by wearing blue or gold. School is in session on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Students have early dismissal at 1:55pm. Looking forward to an exciting school year!
Students at East Dover came dressed up as 100 year olds to celebrate the 100th day of school. Looking forward to Family Fitness Night on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5-7pm.
East Dover is proud to present Mrs. Beth Pokorny, as Teacher of the Year and Ms. Cristina Shaffery, as the Educational Support Staff Person of the Year! East Dover is lucky to have these two amazing women teaching and caring for our students. Honors that are so well deserved, congratulations!!
April is Autism Awareness Month and East Dover is participating in many activities to raise awareness. Every Thursday, students can show their school spirit by wearing an Autism Awareness T-shirt. Also, on Sunday, April 25th, Riv's Hub, located on Hooper Avenue in Toms River, is sponsoring a Give Back Night from 4-8 PM.
March 21st is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome (3/21). Socks were chosen because the karyotype of DS chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks!". East Dover will celebrate this day on Monday, March 22nd.
Jackie started as a 3rd grade teacher and after 2 years, transferred to kindergarten, where she taught for 8 years. During her 10 years at East Dover, Jackie was extremely involved in many committees, such as Parent Academy, Sunshine Club, Mind Aligned, Arts Integration, Assessment Committee, and others.

May 20 , 2021. School Spirit Day at Casino Pier! Come show your school spirit while having a great time at Casino Pier on Thursday, June 3rd from 6 PM-Close. Wristbands cost $25 and 20% of the proceeds goes back to East Dover Elementary. May 17, 2021.
October 22, 2021 -- Walnut Street Elementary School hosted its first Title I-funded family involvement program for the 2021-2022 school year. The program, entitled “Stories Around the Campfire,” took place outside on school grounds on a beautiful fall day.
June 25, 2021-- Students in grades 6-12 are invited to apply for Toms River Regional Schools FREE TR:Tech virtual summer coding camps. All camps run Monday through Thursday July 26-August 5.
June 21, 2021 -- After what has been a challenging year, we are excited to celebrate our district's graduates! There will be a live stream of the intermediate and high school graduations, which can be accessed on this page.
June 8, 2021 -- This year, students in grades 6-11 have the opportunity to participate in a variety of Summer Enrichment Programs! Topics include coding, outdoor adventure, vocal music, graphic novels, and more.
