Bus Issues

Who should a parent contact if the bus is significantly late or if a child is not on the bus?

Inclement Weather Policy

JCPS has no school— An announcement will be made by the news media. There will be no school for students.

Hours

School hours are 9:05 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Breakfast is served from 8:30–9 a.m. in the cafeteria. All other students must wait in the Multi-Purpose Room until school starts.

Visitors

All visitors are required to sign in at the office. They will be issued a visitor badge. We encourage parents to visit our school and to see first hand what we do.

Tardiness

Any students arriving after 9 a.m. should report to the office before going to the classroom. Every two weeks, students with perfect attendance get to take part in "Dancing in the Halls," a fun event that recognizes those students' achievement.

Early Dismissal

If your child has to leave school early for any reason, you must sign out your child at the office. No student will be released from the classroom without confirmation from the office. Early dismissals do affect the student's attendance record. For safety reasons, early dismissal will not be permitted after 3:30 p.m.

Medications

We cannot administer any medication, including over the counter medicine, without a form signed by the parent. The medication and form must be filled out in the school office.
