Edison Elementary School Sunflower Contest was Friday, September 3. We hope you have enjoyed watching your sunflowers grow this summer. Thank you to the Milan Garden Club for hosting its annual Sunflower Contest at Edison Elementary. The students truly enjoy this fun event.

Edison High School’s latest graduating class was honored prior to their sendoff during the 2020 Senior Academic Awards on May 23 at The Countryside in Bloomingdale. Departing seniors were lauded with scholarships and academic honors throughout the evening while class officers were also recognized.
We are excited to begin planning for the 2022-2023 school year! Families will be notified of preschool acceptance beginning on Wednesday, May 25th.
Join us at Edison Elementary School tomorrow, February 8th, at 7:00 p.m. for the third meeting to discuss the future of the facilities in the District. A building tour of the elementary school will be conducted following the meeting. Please come share your thoughts and ideas regarding our facilities.
In December, the Board of Education held a special work session to discuss the possibility of working with the Ohio Facilities Construction Committee (OFCC) on the new facilities project. The District has agreed to begin working with the OFCC on the possible construction of a new building or building renovations to educate our students.
We all hear about identity theft and as adults we know what we should be alert to and what we should do to help minimize the chances of our identities being stolen, but most, if not all, of us probably have not put much thought into our children's identities being stolen.

Edison Local Schools has used five calamity days this school year (four due to the weather and one for Navy Corpsman Max Soviak's funeral). If we experience another calamity day, please understand that teachers will deliver instruction and/or assigned work through use of a Blizzard Bag .
